FM101

FM 101 is a radio station in Malawi. It was launched on 1 October 1998 by the country's former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi. Popularly known as Power 101, the station is the country's first independent radio station. It is dedicated to playing 100% pure music and broadcasting sport events from across the world. Its content is meant for an audience of between 15 - 35 years old.

It has grown to become the country's reliable source of information on issues of lifestyle, latest music, local and international news, health, education, business features, entertainment and sports. Besides broadcasting, the broadcaster is also involved in community projects such as supporting street kids and orphanage care centres. It achieves this by promoting sports activities among the youth and various HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns.
