Bio
Siyabonga Quinton Mnisi, widely known as Flanity, is a 21-year-old musician from Daveyton. He began writing music in 2018, and by 2019 he was already recording and releasing his early tracks on SoundCloud. During his school years, he gained notable recognition with a breakout song titled “Go Get It.” The track became a school hit, earning him respect from his peers and even securing him an online radio interview with Smah Yellow, who is now known as Azanian Doll.
After completing matric, Flanity joined an agency called Elite Inventive, where he spent two years developing his craft and building his profile. Under the agency, he released a single titled “Think Again,” which remains his most successful release in terms of audience engagement. He also dropped an EP titled It’s Not Me, It’s Her, a three-track project that includes the fan-favourite “Fuck My Ex.” The song became a major crowd-pleaser at his live performances, helping establish Flanity as a dynamic and memorable stage performer while opening doors to more show opportunities.
Recently, he released a new single titled “LUV” featuring Cee-Am, with many fans praising it as his best work to date.
A significant milestone in his journey came when he became a Grammy-considered artist through his contribution to an international compilation album featuring artists born in every country in the world. Representing South Africa, Flanity contributed a song titled “Akakhuzeki,” which also marked his first vernacular release. The compilation was curated by a team based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, further solidifying his presence on a global stage.
With each release and performance, Flanity continues to grow as an artist, representing both his community and his country with passion and originality.
