Fay Tall

Fay Tall (born Faith Chepkemoi Soy on 3 August 1995 in Sigowet Soin, Kericho County, Kenya) is a Kenyan Kalenjin urban music artist, singer, and social media influencer whose work has played a significant role in popularising Kalenjin-language reinterpretations of contemporary African music. Rising to prominence around 2018, she became widely recognised as the “Kalenjin queen of cover songs,” gaining attention for translating and performing popular tracks by artists such as Otile Brown and Willy Paul into Kalenjin. Through these covers, she created a cultural bridge between mainstream East African pop and indigenous language audiences, contributing to a renewed appreciation of Kalenjin musical expression.

With a distinctive voice and strong on-screen presence, Fay Tall has since transitioned into creating original music, expanding her artistry beyond reinterpretation into personal storytelling and cultural affirmation. Her releases, including the 2024 single “Chamanenyun,” reflect this evolution, blending modern production with elements rooted in her heritage.
