Equipped Dance Academy

Equipped Dance Academy was founded in 2007 by Stanley Mareka. Based in Windhoek, Namibia, the group has become one of the most sought-after by the youth and public at large. They started when Mareka won the 2008 Channel O Dance Africa competition, with the thrust of bringing dance closer to the youth. They group specializes in urban dance styles such as hip-hop, freestyle, modern dance and kwaito.

In September 2013, the group hosted a Dance Showcase in conjunction with the Franco-Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC). The event was a series that aimed to present local dancing talent by introducing different dance schools, groups and genres. The group also featured in the first round with the show titled 'I Had a Dream'.
