Bio

Endre Dalen is an editor, writer, graphic designer, DJ, event organiser and label manager based in Oslo, Norway. He’s heading the label Digital Diaspora, who’s released albums such as “Merge Emerge”, which was a collaboration between Indian and Norwegian electronic music artists. This year Digital Diaspora organized the festival Nyege Nyege Remix Oslo – a collaboration with the festival in Uganda.

His professional background stems from Oslo Mela – a festival and cultural space that has been hosting artists such as Miriam Makeba, Manu Chao, Angela Davis, Harry Belafonte, Manu Dibango, Ravi Shankar, Hugh Masekela, K.O and Sampa The Great throughout its 24 years of existence.

Between 2015 ans 2023 Endre Dalen was an editor for Samora Forum, Northern Europe’s longest running anti-racist magazine highlighting issues of migration, racism and cultural diversity, also through art forms such as music, film, theatre and literature.

In addition he’s been a critic and journalist for the Oslo based newspapers and journals Klassekampen, Dagens Næringsliv and Jazznytt, as well as international publications Africa Is A Country and Sounds Now. His writings are concerning worldwide subcultures, music, film, arts and literature – the connections between them being an important point of interest.
