Elsaphan Njora
Bio
Born on 15 March 1988, Elsaphan Njora Kanyoro is a versatile Kenyan artist celebrated for his work in acting, writing, and spoken word. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Communications and is the founder of EOPNATION, a spoken word event in Nairobi held every third Friday for over nine years, as well as HOMECOMING, a multi-character, multidisciplinary performance rooted in the Zaphan Genre of Play.
Njora is a regular performer on the Nairobi theatre scene and has extended his talents internationally. His stage work includes a performance on Broadway in the acclaimed musical Tinga Tinga. On screen, he has distinguished himself through experimental music videos with Just-A-Band, local TV hits Briefcase Inc and Groove Theory, and the HBO series Sense8. Most recently, he played the lead role in the critically acclaimed film Kati Kati (TIFF), further cementing his reputation as a dynamic and innovative performer.
