Don Jazzy

Bio

Born Michael Ejere, Don Jazzy started out his career at the age of 9 , learning the studio ropes from his Uncle Collins Enebeli a renowned Impresario. He later learnt the Keyboards, playing in Church and in a variety of small productions. He joined the London based Nigerian band Solek Crew, with an incredible Cult following.

He branched out on his own, as a Producer and Engineer, partnering with his friend Dbanj. This was to pay off incredibly, as their partnership grew into one of the most successful African duo's of recent times. Their label M Hits records grew a stable of mega-artistes like Wande Coal, Dr Sid, The Prince etc, all produced and engineered by the genius of Don Jazzy. He later split with Dbanj, forming a new label Mavin, with acts like Tiwa Savage, The Prince, Dr Sid and until recently Wande Coal.
