DJ Peace

DJ Peace is a Swaziland born artist housed by a local label called Peace Entertainment. His musical journey began at an early age of 12 years as a keyboard player for a church choir. The passion grew when he began to use simple music software to create beats. He has performed alongside big acts like Quentin Harris, Frank Roger, Revolution, Teargas, DJ Black Coffee, Zola ,Dj Sbu, Dj Mbuso, Dj Waxy, DJ Tira, Rhythmic Elements to name a few.

In September 2013, DJ Peace parted ways with popular South African music distributing company Universal Music Records. Reports claim that the local spinner was not pleased with the pace at which the company was moving towards the release of his album. He had been with the company for about three years. Universal Records is the company that helped him in promoting his second album titled ‘Swazi Pride House Culture Volume 2’. On 6 December of that year, he released an album titled ‘The Masterpeace Vol 2’ at Club Babylon.

He has in the past released the Swazi pride albums house culture one and two which he collaborated with DJ’s Mix mash and Foster respectively. His growth in the industry has seen him licence The song (Foma) to Durban Mega House stable Afro-tainment for Dj Cndo’s album.

He did a tour of the 12-track album in 2014. He was accompanied by DJ Brett, a former PCFM presenter who now works for South African radio station OFM and was supported by locals Hunky D, Khebza, Razor Da Soul and Pablo DJ, to name a few.

He has performed in various events namely; the 1st and 2nd Annual sixties weekend in Nelspruit, the Fanta Mega Music Parties, the Mbabane centenary celebrations and various varsity events and beauty pageants.

Besides being a DJ, he runs an events and music company Peace Entertainment and also presents a live radio show dubbed the Bhelela House Mix show on the English channel of radio Swaziland. The show is aired every Friday from 2pm to 3pm.
