Bio

The Danish Music Museum is one of the world’s oldest museums of music history that has operated since 1898. It features a wide collection of European, Asian, South American and African music instruments dating as to the 16th and 20th centuries. It has different departments which include a library, archives and a collection of visual art.

The museum has more room to hold multiple exhibitions, bigger library space and educational activities. It launched a new initiative called, “The Sound Room”, where children of all ages can play everything from the harp and the kettledrum to the electrical guitar and the xylophone musical instruments.

Members of the public may visit the museum weekly from Tuesday to Sunday at 10h00am until 17h00pm and closed on Mondays.
