Travis Tokologo Ratlou, known by his stage name D F W N E, is a South African singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as a leading figure in the Afro-Alternative R&B scene, characterized by his "genre-bending" fusion of soul, jazz, and traditional influences.

D F W N E was born and raised in South Africa. He first gained significant attention as an independent artist, establishing himself as a vulnerable and reflective frontman through his expressive vocal style and deeply personal songwriting. His lyrics are known for their cultural storytelling and spiritual themes, often inspired by his heritage and personal journey.
