Cundas Nels


Cundas Nels (born Lesedi Nels) is one of the recognised DJs and artists in the Northern Cape, South Africa.

He was born and bred in the Northern Cape (Kuruman) currently lives in Mothibistad. He passion for music started off as a drummer at church in North West Province. He later became a singer and a choir master at Roman Catholic Church.

Cundas Nels started his deejaying skills in 2002 where he was a member of a music production group called Extreme Sounds. The group was founded by Oarabile Raymond Mokgethi. Cundas Nels is also a percussionist. Through his DJaying sills, he is able to mix all sort of house music genres like deep house, Afro-house, tribal, soulful, lounge, dance, amapiano and commercial.

He has shared the stage with such artists as Black Coffee, Black Motion, Glen Lewis, Vinny Da Vinci, Christos, Tira, China, Positive K, Nastee Nev, Ganyani, Lerato Kganyago, Dj Maphorisa, Sjava and Mlindo. Internationally, he has shared the platform with Louie Vega, Ralph Gum, Karizma, Tortured Soul and Monique Bingham.

Cundas Nels has also performed at various annual events around the country like 28 December Taung and Maftown Beer Festival, where he is a resident DJ. He also served at Rio Cocktail Lounge (Kimberly), Capello Kuruman, The Grant Oasis Casino, Club Camel Rock, John Bulls Place, The Neck Breaker Meets Black Coffee (Kimberly), Oscar Nite (Bloemfontein) Bo2 Cultural Festival (Wolmaranstad) Harambe Welcome Festival (Kuruman) Kurara Clap Your Hands, Night Of Soul (Kuruman ) and Kgalagadi Jazz Festival (Kuruman).

Cundas Nels is also an event organiser. In 2015, he founded an annual event called Cundas Annual Birthday Chillas, which seeks to help orphans every year.
