Cris K

Crispin Libimba (Cris K) is a Zambian instrumentalist and multi-instrumentalist known for his versatility on the piano, alto saxophone, flute, and clarinet. Active in the music scene since 2021, he has built a reputation for delivering engaging performances across a wide range of musical styles and audiences, while also offering private music and instrument lessons to aspiring musicians.

Born in Lusaka, Zambia, Crispin’s musical journey began in 2015 when he first learned to play the descant recorder. His early interest quickly developed into a passion after receiving a toy piano, which led his father to recognize his potential and support his growth with a keyboard. In April 2016, he began formal piano lessons at Evelyn Hone College. After his tutor relocated abroad, Crispin continued to develop his skills independently, demonstrating determination and self-discipline that would shape his musical path.

His foundation in music was also strongly influenced by his involvement in church at New Apostolic Church, where he learned to perform worship and classical pieces. Over time, he expanded his abilities to multiple instruments and genres, becoming a well-rounded performer.

Crispin’s first public performance took place in 2021 at a private birthday event. In November 2022, he joined Vivo Music and Entertainments (formerly Glued Tones Creatives), performing at prominent venues and events including the InterContinental Lusaka, the Irish Embassy Residence, Le Elementos Boutique Hotel, Pick n Pay stores, Circus Zambia, Bo'jangles Pub and Grill, and Alliance Française, among others.

In addition to his musical career, Crispin is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the Copperbelt University Lusaka Campus, where he began in January 2024 and is expected to complete his studies in December 2028. Alongside his academic journey, he actively provides private lessons in music theory and instrumental performance, mentoring upcoming musicians.

Now performing as a solo artist and collaborator, Crispin continues to grow his presence in the Zambian music industry while balancing his academic pursuit in engineering — reflecting his passion for both technology and the arts.
