Bio
CHISENGA (born Chisenga Katongo) is an Australian, Zambian-born musician-songwriter, mostly singing in the Hip-Hop genre. Based in Perth, Western Australia. His cultural background adds diversity to his music and live sets. He started rapping aged 10.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Recorded/Produced the first Hip-Hop album recorded and produced in Zambia under the stage name C.R.I.$.I.$, solidifying him as a pioneer
2. He was the main opening act for Akon & Sean Paul to a crowd of 48,000 people at the Harare Sports Stadium.
3. He performed at a World Cup event in South Africa as a result of his song 'The Fire Inside' being a number 1 record across Africa in 2010.
4. He made an appearance in an Eminem video for the song 'Higher.
CHARITY:
Participated in charity events, including the Ronald McDonald House Charity writing/performing an original rap piece to communicate a message of encouragement to troubled youth, kids/young adults.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
In his spare time, he runs Hip-Hop workshops dubbed EDUTAINMENT using entertainment and entertainment to educate.
AMBITION:
In 2023, CHISENGA wishes to conquer bigger stages such as Big Sound, SXSW and many more festivals. This has been a major fan request.
VICTORY LOVES PREPARATION:
Towards the close of 2022, the artist put together a successful tour warm-up.
While his latest album 'Rhythm And Poetry' is still getting a lot of love, he has begun work on a new project.
So far, he has collaborated with Benny The Butcher of Buffalo New York, formerly signed by Eminem on Shady Records and Currently with Def Jam.
He continues getting his show bookings as more doors open.
