Chipego is a Zambian-born, South African-raised singer-songwriter whose genre-blending sound is redefining the African music landscape. Born on May 10, 1996, and currently based in Johannesburg, she crafts an afro-contemporary fusion of R&B, hip hop, amapiano, and soulful spoken word, layered with poetic lyricism and rich emotional depth.
Her debut album, Don't Forget to Remember (2025), is a nine-track exploration of resilience and cultural identity. The project features standout tracks like “LALALA,” “Said I Do,” and “GUIDED,” each showcasing her vocal versatility and her ability to blend neo-soul, Afro-Tech, and tribal house into a cohesive, deeply personal sound.
