Buntu Duku is an Eastern Cape based creative and researcher within the heritage, arts and cultural sphere. Cofounder of a public benefit organisation Ivanya Yethu heritage foundation. Buntu, rooted in rural Qonce (former King Williamstown), discovered his profound connection to his Xhosa heritage at the University of Fort Hare, sparking a deep commitment to cultural and environmental preservation. With over a decade in the Arts, Buntu's performances, adorned with accolades, reflect his unwavering dedication to literature, music and cultural heritage. As a storyteller, he intricately weaves narratives that entwine the rich threads of both cultural and environmental legacy. Buntu's stage becomes a canvas, vividly illustrating the symbiotic relationship between humanity and nature. His literary pursuits aim to empower the youth with the tools and wisdom needed to shape a harmonious future.
