Bio
Born in Rustenburg , Rorisang "BlackAce" Mogapi (30). BlackAce has had a passion for music since the tender age of 10. BlackAce draws inspiration from the people around him and by the experiences that those around him and including himself go through, His musical inspirations are South African Rap Giants Stogie T, Proverb, and Reason, and American Rappers J.Cole, Black Thought and Nas. He is a Lyricist who believes that he can infuse lyrics into any style of music. In 2017 sat with all 3 of his SA hip hop idols are winning a twitter freestyle challenge for the Eminem Revival launch.

2013: BlackAce Drops His 1st Mixtape, "The Promo", which received over6000 downloads on the Music of Africa site.
2016: BlackAce makes a comeback with his single “On The Roof” as well as a video which, available on YouTube.
2017: released two singles titled “Flashing” Crush, and “Where They At” , which was mixed and mastered by Truhits. BlackAce is a lyricist by nature and is known for his ability to freestyle while delivering punchlines and flowing elegantly to the beat. 2018: BlackAce releases his first album, TRIMESTERS AND SEMESTERS, the album highlights Ace’s journey tofatherhood while balancing varsity and the hip hop hustle.
2019: Releases his radio single, Big Poppa Ace which debuted on Metro FM.
2020: Ace releases an EP, Therapy, followed by his album, Finding My Feet.
2022: Following a hiatus Ace makes, returns with an EP titled Hustle Is Religion detailing how he’s been surviving without a 9-5.
2023: BlackAce releases his latest EP, Last Days At The Trap, this project was an album of Transition as he was leaving the hustle life for the 9-5 life.
2024: BlackAce releases the lead single, Never Ready Touchline & Capital C, to his upcoming 3 part album Belly of The Beast
Accomplishments:
2019: BlackAce Makes an appearance MTV BASE’S #YOMTVRAPS, He was selected as one of the upcoming artists with an impeccable freestyle capability. Following this BlackAce landed a spot on Old Mutual's OMGWAP campaign alongside Khuli Chana, Kwesta, L- Tido, and Saudi RSA.
2020: BlackAce not only appeared on SABC 1's One Mic, He was the runner up, landing in second place.
2022: BlackAce lands his first few SlikourOnLife articles thanks to his EP, Hustle Is Religion2023: BlackAce makes a de but appearance in Hype magazine for his latest EP Last Days At The Trap. 2024: BlackAce works alongside critically acclaimed lyricist Touchline and breaks the 20K streaming mark on spotify for his Single #NeverReady.
