Bizzle Osikoya
Bio
Bizzle Osikoya is a music executive and one of Nigeria’s most influential figures in entertainment. Raised between Lagos, London and Birmingham, he studied Music Business at the University of Liverpool and Sound Engineering at SAE Liverpool, later honing his skills in Film Production at the Digital Film Academy in New York.
Renowned for his influence in shaping the Afrobeats industry, he is the co-founder of the talent management agency The Plug and the emerging film studio Webek Studios. With a career spanning creative direction, A&R, sound engineering, road management and film production, Bizzle has played a pivotal role in developing talent and building cultural exports from Africa.
At the start of his career in the music industry, Bizzle worked with artists such as Naeto C, Ikechukwu and Sasha P under Storm360 Records, helping to develop their presence in Nigeria. He later moved to Mo’Hits Records, where he worked with Don Jazzy, D’Banj, Wande Coal and Dr Sid as the label’s first Artist and Repertoire executive. Following the dissolution of Mo’Hits, Bizzle joined Mavin Records, collaborating closely with Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks and others. During his time there, he oversaw projects including Mavin’s compilation album Solar Plexus and Reekado Banks’ studio album SPOTLIGHT. He resigned from the label in 2016.
In 2012, Bizzle founded B Entertainment which he later merged with Asa Asika’s imprint, StarGaze Entertainment in 2016, to establish The Plug, a multimedia company encompassing Plug Entertainment, Plug Music and Plug Sports. Bizzle has worked with artists like Tiwa Savage, Tomi Agape, Oxlade, Tems and CKay.
The Plug manages some of Africa’s biggest stars, including Davido,Vict0ny and fast rising star Shine TTW. Bizzle also co-created the Mainland BlockParty series, a platform that showcases established and emerging talent within Lagos’s vibrant youth culture scene and around the world. In 2022, he was invited to join the Recording Academy (Grammy) as a professional member and later assumed an executive advisory role at TurnTable Charts, helping to shape the documentation and tracking of music in Nigeria.
Over the years, Bizzle has played a pivotal role in the “Afrobeats to the World” movement, working on projects with Ropo(Cokobar), Big Moose (Big Moose Entertainment) and PaulO(One Africa Global) to strategically bring African acts to the diaspora for global audiences. He was part of the team behind The One Africa Music Fest, which debuted in 2016 at one of the biggest venues in America, the Barclays Centre in New York, to a sold-out audience. Following its success, the festival expanded to Houston,Texas, London,UK, & Dubai.
Bizzle has also worked closely with numerous alté artists in Nigeria, serving as A&R on Oxlade’s debut EP Oxygen, Alpha P’s debut EP King of the Wolves, and BOJ and Ajebutter22’s collaborative album Make E No Cause Fight. As the African music scene continues to flourish, he remains deeply committed to promoting African talent across music, film, and event production, cementing his place as one of the most influential figures in the industry.
