Binetou Sylla
Bio
Binetou Sylla is a producer, DJ and the head of Paris-based record label Syllart Records.
The stable was founded by her father Ibrahima Sylla, a renowned Senegalese producer. Formed in 1978, the label has launched the careers of renowned artists such as Alpha Blondy, Youssou N'Dour, Oumou Sangaré and Salif Keita.
Sylla has also committed herself to promoting the diversity of African music through organising Afro-pop events aimed at showcasing popular African songs.
Growing up in France, she draws her musical influences from her parents.
