LYFE Festival 2025 to bring Sabrina Claudio, Lloyiso and Manana to Joburg
Johannesburg is set to host LYFE Festival 2025 on 6 December, an event that will bring together elements of R&B, soul and contemporary African sounds. Scheduled to take place at Marks Park, the festival places a spotlight on the growing intersection between local and international music influences in South Africa’s urban centres.
Sabrina Claudio
Manana.
Lloyiso.
The line-up features US R&B singer Sabrina Claudio alongside South African artists Lloyiso and Manana. Claudio is known for her minimalist production and layered vocal style, which has positioned her in the alternative R&B space. Her inclusion adds an international dimension to the programme, while remaining in line with the event’s emphasis on vocal-led and atmospheric music.
Lloyiso, one of South Africa’s most prominent contemporary vocalists, has built his profile through a combination of online exposure, live performances and commercially successful singles. His body of work has expanded in recent years through both solo releases and collaborations with artists outside South Africa, earning him recognition beyond local audiences.
Manana, an R&B and soul artist and songwriter, is scheduled to share material drawn from his recent projects and wider catalogue. His sound is characterised by warm melodies, subtle jazz undertones and introspective songwriting. In addition to his own releases, he has contributed to work by artists in South Africa, Nigeria and the United Kingdom, reinforcing his role within a broader African and diaspora-linked music network.
Organisers have indicated that the festival will include a range of supporting elements such as food vendors, fashion installations, art pop-ups and open-air lounge spaces. These additions are expected to complement the performances and reflect Johannesburg’s creative and lifestyle culture. The event’s production is set to include structured stage design, professional sound engineering and visual elements aligned to the respective artists’ performance styles.
While positioned primarily as a live music event, LYFE Festival 2025 also reflects wider developments in South Africa’s music landscape, where genre boundaries have become increasingly fluid. The blend of R&B, soul and contemporary African influences mirrors the musical preferences of a younger, globally connected audience.
Tickets for the festival are available through Webtickets.
