Big Trail Music is a fast-rising African (South Sudan based) music duo composed of Sakana Ta Shana (Woja Samuel Erastor) and Chosen Kay (Kajokare Simon). Their music blends Afrobeat with traditional South Sudanese rhythms, often touching on themes of love, resilience, and youthful ambition.
They gained popularity through hit songs like Piyong, Kwelen, and Love Doctor, earning a strong fan base and a reputation as voices for a new generation. Their powerful performances at festivals and community events have made them role models for many youths.
In 2024, Big Trail Music officially signed with ADA Africa, marking a major breakthrough in their career. This partnership provided them with professional support, boosting their production quality, promotion, and reach. Their first major collaboration with Nicky Prince of Hardlife Avenue Stars helped elevate their profile further.
About the Artists:
Sakana Ta Shana was born in Kajo Keji, South Sudan. Originally a dancer, he later trained in music production at Esom School of Music and now balances both roles as a producer and singer.
Chosen Kay, born in Moyo, Uganda, is pursuing a degree in Information Technology at Muni University. He began singing in church at age 7 and draws inspiration from artists like Mantani and the Good Lyfe Crew.
They got signed with ADA Africa in 2024 at their early stage of their breakthrough into the music scene of the country.
Together, Big Trail Music represents a new wave of South Sudanese talent, using music as a tool for inspiration, identity, and cultural pride.
