B.Frnce
Bio
B.Frnce (real name Botho Francois T. K. Masisi), also known as B.Frnce The King and Casso Picasso, is a Botswana-born rapper, producer, filmmaker, and creative entrepreneur of South African descent. Born on May 27, 1998, and raised in Gaborone by a single mother, he discovered his passion for music in 2006 at just eight years old. Inspired by his older brother’s early rap pursuits, he began writing and performing, eventually delving into beat production and sound design by his mid-teens.
Drawing influence from hip-hop greats such as Nas, 2Pac, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and André 3000, B.Frnce developed a distinct style defined by introspective lyricism, bold production, and a rich blend of genres including afrobeat, kwaito, house, amapiano, and electronic music.
He debuted with the single “Let’s Get It” in 2018, from his first project Let’s Get It Tape, which also featured tracks like “Burn Up & Turn Up” and “G.D.O.” The tape, mostly self-produced, introduced audiences to his dual skillset as both rapper and beatmaker. In the same year, he released One Day, a collaborative EP with DJ Diction, followed by his solo-produced EP B.Fre We Get It. In 2019, he put out Don’t Sue Me, a collection of experimental songs and unreleased collaborations, including tracks with South African artists.
Singles like “Problem” and “Purge,” as well as standout releases “Quarter Century” and “2Hood” featuring Zeus and Tswex Ramotswako, marked his evolution both lyrically and sonically. His visuals and live content—such as the official Channel O broadcast of “Purge”—affirmed his creative maturity. B.Frnce also contributed as a writer and performer on D-Axis’s Pilot in Command album, collaborating with artists such as Mapetla and Zeus on key tracks.
Live, B.Frnce has headlined and supported performances at some of Botswana’s most prominent venues, including Molapo Piazza, Bojanala Waterfront, Chez Nicolas (now Dejavu), and Bee6 Entertainment. In May 2024, he delivered a striking live band performance of “Quarter Century” at Backyard Stories: Symphony Chapter, held at Stanbic Bank’s Gaborone Golf Club. He also performed at Zeus’s TrenchCoat Party, appearing just before the headliner in a lineup that featured Samantha Mogwe.
In April 2025, B.Frnce relaunched High On Hip-Hop with the Greenhouse Edition at Molapo Theatre—an ambitious celebration of hip-hop’s four core elements: emceeing, DJ’ing, breakdancing, and graffiti art. As both curator and performer, he not only took the stage but also served as DJ for several acts, contributing to the immersive, cross-generational experience that defined the event’s success.
His work in film and media extends beyond performance. As part of Local Corner Multimedia, he directed the Miss Teen Botswana 2025 docu-series production and was responsible for audio production and music arrangement for the event itself, which was broadcast live on Botswana Television (BTV). He also contributed to the technical execution of Podicast with Scar, taking on roles in cinematography, lighting, and sound operation.
In parallel, B.Frnce has produced, engineered, and featured on music released under Eric Ramco Records, further showcasing his versatility across studio roles. His formal education complements...
