The Archive and Documentation Centre comprises mainly unpublished text, image, sound and film documents from private estates and organizational archives. The focus of the archive is Namibia and southern Africa of the 20th century.

The collection of audio tapes will be of special interest to researchers of southern African music (but also includes recordings of speeches, etc) . The interconnectedness of different types of documents in our archives is likely to be of particular interest for researchers. Since 2010, datat is collected and contextualized in the archive database. This data is available online in the archive catalog.
