Founded in 2020 by a group of musician friends, The Band Orlando is a South African ensemble known for blending vibrant instrumentation with socially conscious songwriting.

Their smash single “Abafana” exemplifies their style—a modern-day “struggle song” addressing social imbalances and injustices, delivered through chant-like vocals and dynamic instrumentation.

The Band Orlando is active in the Gauteng live music scene, performing at venues across the province and steadily building a reputation for energetic, engaging shows. The group is currently preparing to release their first official project, aiming to expand their reach nationally.
