Bio
Avzal Ismail is a musician and educator from South Africa, who has performed at the highest levels both nationally and internationally. He is recognized with critical acclaim by his peers in both the fields of music performance and music education.
He is an award-winning performer who also uses his talents in such diverse settings as the Artistic Director of such events such as the Jazz on the Lake Festival, The Joburg Rhythm and Blues Festival, various productions and corporate events.
Avzal has also performed with musicians such as Violin Virtuoso Regina Carter, Carl Anderson, Donald Harrison, Mango Groove, Ozila and countless others in a five decade spanning career across the globe,
