Arts Performance Centre, Tsumeb

Founded in 2003, The Tsumeb Arts Performance Centre is run by a non-profit organisation called the Namibian Art Performance Centers Association (NAPCAs). The center offers artistic education to more than 230 children across Namibia. The core objective of this center is to advance the quality of life of children in the surrounding communities through art and music.

Apart from teaching arts, Tsumeb Art Performance Centre also teaches students how to build, repair and maintain various musical instruments that are used at the center. The institute doesn’t rely on teachers from other regions but rather employs people from local community members. Its buildings were built courtesy of donations from the Lenten Foundation.
