Angie Oeh
Bio
Angie Oeh (1998-2023) was a fearless South African Afrikaans mumble rapper and queer artist from Pretoria. She burst onto the scene with her viral hit "Dis Jou Wyfie" (2021), blending hip-hop, rock, and pop with raw, provocative lyrics.
Her music was a defiant commentary on social justice, advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights. Releases include EPs Sex in Afrikaans (2022) and Mooiste Meisies (2022), with collaborations like Jack Parow and Loufi.
Angie passed away from stage 4 lung cancer at 24, leaving a legacy as a brave, authentic voice in Afrikaans music. Her impact still resonates as is still on the Top 10 of South African Afrikaans Hip Hop Song.
