Andre Anthony
Bio
Andre Anthony is a singer-songwriter, music theatre performer, and actor from Canada.
He is well known for his critically acclaimed jazz recording titled Andre Anthony: The Gentleman.
The Dora nominated artist has earned a diploma in Jazz Music from Humber College, a diploma in Acting for Film and Television from Humber College, and a Degree in Music from Thompson Rivers University.
Andre has also worked with many prestigious artists such as Josh Groban, Cindy Lauper, Kurt Elling, Divine Brown, Robin Givens, Dave Douglas, The Mississauga Big Band, Laila Biali, the Juno award-winning Toronto Mass Choir, and many more.
Select theatre credits include Rock of Ages (Stage West), Only In Vegas (Mayfield Theatre), Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (CPA Centre), Handel’s Messiah Rocks: A Joyful Noise (Living Arts Centre), Joy In The Morning (Queen Elizabeth Theatre), The Passion of Jesus Christ (Praise Cathedral).
Andre is the lead singer of the Toronto based band Sophisticated Funk, and he has released a solo big band jazz album titled Andre Anthony.
