Alphonse Bahati


Born in 1974 in D.R. Congo, Alphonse Bahati is one of the popular gospel musicians in Kigali, Rwanda. He is one of musicians in the country with a reputable brand. In 2011, he and his band hosted a show in Gisenyi-Rubavu District that attracted more than 2000 people. Since then, he became famous let alone made more music.

In 2013, he was voted the Best Gospel Artist of the year in the Groove awards. In 2013, he was among the gospel artists in the country who were honored at African Gospel Music Awards (AGMA) for their contribution to the development of the gospel music in Africa. Other artists were Patient Bizimanaand Gaby Irene Kamanzi.

In Febraury 2015, he was part of a group of gospel musicians who performed at a gospel concert dubbed Gospel Flava held at Petit Stade. Some of the gospel artists who featured at the concert were Aime Uwimana, Guy Badi Banga, Damascene Kanuma and Patient Bizimana.
