Bio

Zuludentity is an African traditional Folk, Ethno jazz, and Afrosoul band, traditional dance group from South Africa.

Zulu pride Theatre Company was formed in 2010 under the directorship of Mthokozisi Makhoba. Over the past 5 years this company has been a platform to young South Africans to follow creative pursuits ranging from grass roots to professional excellence.
The cast of professional performers are all multi talented and originate from the city of Durban and the rest of KwaZulu- Natal, in the kingdom of KwaZulu Natal. Our first tour undertaken to the New Zealand will be in 2017, Then we want to tour extensively to theatres, festivals, and educational institutions throughout the UK, Canada and New Zealand.

This vibrant spectacle, showcases a kaleidoscope of dynamic Traditional Zulu Culture. The amazing voices, of the cast, with their brilliant harmony have delighted audiences throughout the world. The powerful traditional splendid dance sequences, accompanied by ‘pulsating’ Zulu drums, guarantees to hold any audience spellbound. This show provides outstanding entertainment for the entire family with fun audience participation to make this a truly memorable experience . Besides our dynamic Festival Showcase Performance of vibrant cultural song and dance we also have a wide range of music and dance workshops for both children and adults.

Zuludentity Theatre Company has tailored a powerful educational experience that, through its Unique Cultural application of performance and workshops, successfully creates opportunity for community cohesion, Cultural diversity Awareness, Racial equality and Citizenship. The main motivation of the Project is to provide a unique cultural experience that merits the development of a creative foundation, designed to simulate individual integrity.
In particular we have developed a highly accredited multi-cultural hands-on experience that affords pupils the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of the Zulu people.

Our main aim is to grow positive perceptions and understanding, in pursuit of respecting ethnic values, while identifying with all the creative aspects of life that encourage us to share our common humanity. This project provides creative skills development opportunity relating to cross curricula work of the National Curriculum multicultural syllabus. It specifically targets Drama, Music and Dance.

Zulu pride Theatre Company were invited on two occasions to perform before the South African President.
