Sochie

Sochie is an artist with a rich, soulful sound and melodies drawing inspiration from Afrofusion sounds as she encompasses multi-cultural experiences into her music, taking her audience on a musical voyage around the globe. She writes, produces, records and performs as she is a classically trained vocal jazz artist, songwriter and stage performer. In her earlier career, she played the double bass and was featured with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. She studied Music Theory and Vocal Performance at Long Island University. She has notable performances on stages including the prestigious Carnegie Hall and world famous Apollo Theatre in New York City. Her journey as a woman in music has brought her to be booked internationally. Her music transcends all genres. Her soulful sound touches the audience in an almost nostalgic way. Her recording style is soulful, jazzy and timeless.
