Future Nostalgia
Bio
We Started out as school friends who both shared a love for music particularly hip hop, one
day at school during a free period we were sitting together as always did so LaSean and I
Spike were listening to the Logic album ‘The Incredible Story’ and LaSean started singing
along to the hook song called ‘Stainless’ and I thought he sounded really good I told him we
should do something together. We began by writing a few songs and one song lead to a few
more and that turned to us becoming the duo we are today. Unfortunately after high school in
2017 myself and LaSean got separated and I personally thought I’d never see him again we
kept in touch through social media we shared concepts ideas about our music process but
that was as far as it was , as years went by I was working a few labour jobs and had no hope
of pursing a career in the music industry. Until one day LaSean gave me a call and told me a
good friend of ours ‘Kedumetse’ wanted to started a record label called ‘Supreme Beam
Records’ and wanted us to help him start it and be the talent of the label however for the
whole of 2020 nothing really happened with that whole label story and it wasn’t until mid 2021
when LaSean decided to put things in motion. since we started its been a crazy and amazing
journey with it’s ups and downs but we still manage to progress and take every opportunity
we can get and manage to give our all. We started getting more serious about everything and
our dreams started becoming more of a reality and got to learn and experience new things
together from both the business and music side. We officially wrote our first track together as Future Nostalgia called ‘Better Way’ which is part
of our first upcoming EP consisting of 5 tracks . The purpose of our music is that we believe we are living in the future and we are here to
give a nostalgic twist to today’s music and we aim to innovate the music industry. On the 29th
of October 2022 we debuted on stage as ‘Future Nostalgia’ and we have been pushing the grind its been hard but the belief we have in each other has given us the strength to keep pushing. To grow our fan base We have been performing on a regular basis such as open stages at ferndale and also at moscow lounge at jozi we started releasing on a regular basis by our solo single such as dark rhymes and been featured with like minded artists we have clicked with on a musical level and networking with other artists has help give us exposure to our music which has been an impact on us
