Bio
Ingrid White is a singer- songwriter, performing artist. Her passion for music began when she was a child as she was brought up in a family where music and art had a prominent role . She started singing in church at a very young age with her brother and sisters and she quickly became a worship and praise leader. Over the years ingrid grew up listening to record collections built up by her family featuring great artists from Cameroon and the rest of the world like Manu Dibango, Angelic Kidjo, Sade, Lauryn hill, Michael Jackson, Tracy Chapman, Whitney Houston, Macase, Mary Mary, Women of Faith, ...who inspired her. Ingrid decided to commit herself completely to music after her post graduate studies. She collaborated with several established local and international artists during album recordings, concerts and festivals.
She has also participated in national and international music contests such as Les femmes et les filles forte (2013) and the MTN Make The Music in Cameroon (2014). She won a Performance at the BET Awards as winner of the Song contest Who Wants To Make it in USA in 2015.
Recently, she won the Second place in Afrimusic Song Contest (2017), the first and biggest music competition platform celebrating and recognizing talented songwriters and musicians from across the African Continent.
In April 2019, she was selected by the Multiple Grammy Winner Larry Klein to Participate in the Recording of the First Beyond Music album produced by himself at Studio La fabrique in France.
