Cpepetsa

Cpepetsa is a South African House Kwaito solo artist who began his professional music journey in 2017. He made his debut with an EP titled “Thulani Wait”, which featured three standout tracks. The project included collaborations with vocalist Qbee and Maskandi artist Ntiliza K. The EP quickly captured attention, surprising listeners and creating a growing demand for his unique sound. The title track, “Thulani Wait,” gained significant traction and was featured on Ligwa FM’s Top 20 chart in Mpumalanga, where it climbed to the Top 4 through public votes.

In 2020, Cpepetsa continued to build momentum by releasing his first full-length album, “Vosho.” The album performed well across digital music platforms and marked an important milestone in his career, earning him his first interviews as a solo artist on Newcastle FM and Ntokozweni FM. During this period, he also began performing on various stages, further expanding his fan base.

In 2022, he released a hit single titled “Bhampa2Bhampa” featuring Killer. The track went viral across South Africa and significantly elevated his profile within the industry. It also earned him nominations at the MAMMAS Awards and the Live Your Dream SA Awards. Although he did not take home the awards, the recognition marked a turning point in his career, opening doors to collaborations with producers and beatmakers who were eager to work with him. The single served as a preview of a larger body of work he was developing at the time.

Cpepetsa followed up in 2023 with the release of his album “Emaphakadeni,” which featured collaborations with several local artists. The album further cemented his reputation and elevated his standing in the music industry. He began sharing stages with established musicians and competing in industry events, where he secured multiple wins. To date, Cpepetsa has earned three trophies and medals, including recognition as Best Kwaito Musician and Best Kwaito Performer.

Today, Cpepetsa’s music continues to grow in reach and respect. With a strong network, increasing performance opportunities, and a dedicated work ethic, he remains focused on taking his career to even greater heights while solidifying his place in the South African music scene.
