Shoddy n SA

(Born October 2006) Nhlaseko Thabiso Maritzi, professionally known as Shoddy n, is a South African hip-hop artist and producer recognised for his prolific output and ongoing collaborations with producer DJ Vend-Linu.

Born and raised in Orange Farm, Johannesburg, he was strongly influenced by family and friends to pursue music as a career. Shoddy n began writing songs at the age of 13 while still at school, often collaborating with friends — an experience that helped shape and refine his style over time.

In 2022, he released his debut EP, See The World, which was well received within his immediate circle and marked the beginning of his recording career. He continued to build momentum after connecting with DJ Vend-Linu, with whom he has since maintained a consistent creative partnership.

To date, Shoddy n has collaborated with a range of artists, including Vagi P, who featured him on tracks such as “17” and “Ride With Me”. Other notable collaborations include Toby Mohale’s “I’m The Type”, as well as an international feature alongside ReaderWolfMC and Vivu on the track “Grinding”, among others.
