Eazy Nkosi

Sibusiso Steven Nkosi, professionally known as Eazy Nkosi, is a South African recording artist celebrated for his distinctive fusion of Afrobeat rhythms and Zulu rap. Born on March 2, 1992, and raised in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, Nkosi has steadily built a reputation for his unique sound and energetic performances.

His passion for music was sparked at a young age between 2004 and 2005, when he was heavily influenced by American hip-hop culture through music videos. Inspired by what he saw, Nkosi began writing and performing his own rap lyrics in 2007. A year later, he joined the hip-hop movement Rhyme'N'Reazon, where he refined his craft and gained valuable experience that would shape his musical journey.

In 2014, Eazy Nkosi discovered and developed his signature style a seamless blend of Afrobeat and vernacular rap which quickly gained traction in his hometown. His music began receiving airplay on local community radio stations, further solidifying his presence in the Newcastle music scene.

Throughout his career, Nkosi has shared stages with some of South Africa’s most prominent artists, including Sjava, the late ProKid, the late AKA, Emtee, Maraza, Mafikizolo, K.O, the late Sifiso Ncwane, Bongi Dube, Kwesta, Big Zulu, DreamTeam DBN, Big Nuz, and Zakwe. These performances have helped elevate his profile and showcase his versatility as an artist.

In 2018, he made the pivotal decision to pursue his career independently, forming his own band and movement that accompanies him during live performances. This transition marked a new chapter in his artistic evolution, allowing him greater creative freedom and control over his music.
