Tyla to release second studio album A-Pop in March
South African singer Tyla will release her second studio album, A-Pop, on 15 March 2026, marking her first full-length project since winning the Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance.
Tyla.
The forthcoming album arrives at a time of heightened international attention for the artist, who has become one of the most prominent African pop figures on the global stage. Known for blending African pop, R&B and amapiano, Tyla has built a cross-continental audience through chart success and high-profile performances.
A-Pop is expected to continue that fusion while reflecting a more developed artistic direction. According to Tyla, the project captures her personal and creative evolution. “This album shows where I am now as a woman and as an artist,” she said. “It’s still African pop, but it’s more honest and more confident.”
Pre-release teasers shared online suggest a mix of dance-driven tracks and melodic material. While full details of the tracklist and potential collaborations have not yet been confirmed, industry observers note that the album’s release follows a period of sustained commercial momentum for the singer.
With anticipation building ahead of its March launch, A-Pop is likely to be among the most closely watched African pop releases of 2026, as Tyla continues to expand her international profile.
