Beat O Matic

BEAT O MATIC (Born Letlhogonolo Wesley Masinda) known by his stage name Beat-O-Matic, is a distinguished South African rapper, songwriter, and producer hailing from Kuruman in the Northern Cape. His musical journey began in 2011 as a producer, eventually revealing the powerful artist within, a transformation he reflects on in his track "Started as a Dream."
Throughout his career, Beat-O-Matic has released numerous hip hop singles and numerous non-commercial albums, an impressive feat for an emerging artist. His production style uniquely blends boom bap rhythms with a hint of wonky modern trap, creating a distinct soundscape.
In February 2018, he launched his debut album, Audiograph, followed by a collaborative project with Cypher Pro titled The Best Kept Secret in March 2019. One of the singles from this album, "Runnin'," notably topped charts on VOW FM's Voice of Hip Hop.
His latest compilation, Melodic Dependency, was released on June 18, 2020, a testament to his passion even in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. This compilation was followed by a series of singles dating from 2023 to April 2025. Beat-O-Matic is recognised for his lyrical prowess and dynamic performances, earning airplay on platform such as Kurara FM, Voice of Wits, and Metro FM’s "I Believe" feature, Five Minutes of Fame, where his single "Count Your Blessings" was showcased.
