Babyboy AV, born Adindu Victor on 14 March 1999 in Benin City, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter whose music blends Afrobeats, Afro fusion and contemporary pop influences. He grew up in a musical household. His father played guitar, which encouraged his early interest in melody, rhythm and performance.
Victor began pursuing music professionally around 2018, recording and refining his sound while building a small but dedicated following. He released the single Temperature in 2020, a track that gained attention on radio and introduced listeners to his smooth vocal tone and youthful confidence.
His breakthrough arrived in 2021 with Big Thug Boys, a song that became one of the standout viral hits of the year and established him as a rising voice within the new generation of Nigerian pop. Its success placed him in the national spotlight and strengthened his reputation for catchy hooks and melodic clarity.
In 2022 Victor released his debut EP Thug Love. The project explored themes of romance, identity and youthful expression, blending dancehall influences with Afrobeats and mid tempo rhythms. The EP allowed him to showcase his range while maintaining the laid back feel that defines his vocal style.
