Manyelo Dafro

Manyelo Dafro is a South African musical group consisting of the artists Aero Manyelo (Cholobo Manyelo) and Dafro SA (Prince Madumetja Maake). The group was formed in November 2019. 

Both Aero and Dafro had already been active within the industry for over a decade before they partnered up. They had both developed respected reputations as prolific house DJ’s and producers. Manyelo Dafro is a combination of their unique African electronic sounds.

In 2020, the duo released the song “Ladon” featuring Bassekou Kouyate. The song would turn out to be a massive hit both locally and globally. The song has amassed millions of streams across platforms. Multiple remixes of the song have been released by artists such as FKA Mash, Da Capo, Caiiro, and Floyd Lavine. In 2021, they released the song “Heal Afrika”, which went on to be remixed by Thakzin. 

Both artists still maintain their individual careers and occasionally come together to release or perform together under one name. As of the time of writing, their latest release was in 2023
