Bio
Mr. David Moagi, professionally known as D Horn, is a talented trumpet player who began his music career at 21. He studied at the Music Academy of Gauteng (2001–2005), earning grades in music theory and practical performance, and later taught trumpet, piano, and voice.
Between 2002 and 2013, he traveled extensively, performing in London, Sweden, Holland, Germany, New York, Boston, and Stockholm.
He has collaborated with renowned local artists such as Hugh Masekela, Sibongile Khumalo, Jonas Gwangwa, and Tshepo Tshola, as well as international musicians like Kevin Mahorgan, Everett Green, and James Morrison.
In 2016, Moagi signed with GMusic Records, launching his stage name D Horn. His debut LP was released in 2018, featuring the single “Woza Kimi,” which gained strong public and radio reception. Known for his soulful and captivating voice, D Horn continues to inspire audiences locally and internationally.
