LAVA (Luvuyo Bolana) is the Eastern Cape-based pioneer of IsiXhosa AfroTrap, a dynamic fusion of modern trap cadences and indigenous storytelling. Beyond being a performing artist, LAVA is a cultural ambassador and the architect of an independent music enterprise dedicated to addressing social ills through messages of love, resilience, and unity.

A former athlete and church soloist from Sada, LAVA transitioned to production in 2013 and broke into the mainstream with his 2022 hit 'WAR' (#3 on Nanda FM). Backed by formal institutional endorsements from the Eastern Cape Department of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture (DSRAC) and the Steve Biko Centre, LAVA is currently rolling out his highly anticipated M.O.L.O (Matters Of Love Only) EP. This major project is not just a sonic evolution; it is an economic catalyst, strategically creating 16 jobs for marginalized youth, women, and persons with disabilities across the province.
