The Music In Africa Foundation has been implementing  the Music In Africa Live (MIAL) project since 2020, in partnership with the German Federal Foreign Office, Siemens Stiftung and Goethe Institut. The project aims to enable all organizations to identify and define who they are, what their core business is, their unique selling points and market costs of their goods/services. BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project aims to take audiences and musicians alike on a journey through the unique musical heritage of kwaZulu Natal – with a focus on spotlighting of its indigenous instrument players. This province bears a good supply of historical gems located in some of the most rural areas of the region. These men and women trace history, and our work (as cultural researchers and practitioners) is to tell these stories that may otherwise be forgotten. The spread of these musicians across the province brings forward an impressive additional reading of KZN’s historical micro-narratives on musical instruments, history, and usages.

BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION: CFW being one of its kind service providers in the African continent, for whom resources mobilisation is its core competence and mission, has over the last years developed an innovative resources mobilisation strategies capacity building trainings that combines years of CFW experiences. The training is being offered to two groups of 20; the one conducted in French  and the other in English.

The program will aim at shifting the thinking from fundraising to resources mobilization and introduce them to more strategic approach to resources their activities whether they are the production of music clip, a festival or a development project.
