Bio
Mensa (Mensa Ansah) is a London-based singer, songwriter, rapper and producer from Ghana.
He is widely considered a hiplife pioneer, having worked with early practitioners like Obrafuor, Reggie Rockstone, Ex Doe, VIP, Sidney of Nananom, KK Fosu, Kofi B, Azigizah, Kweku T, NFL, Yogie Doggy, T Blaze, Tic Tac, Cy Lover, Freddie FunkStone and Abrewa Nana.
Mensa is currently one half of the rap duo FOKN Bois (with Wanlov Da Kuborlor). He is also lead vocalists and co-producer of Afro-Electro band RedRed, which he founded with Budapest based producer, Elo Marto. Mensa’s solo albums include Rapublic and №1 Mango Street.
