Uchechukwu Michael-Cyrinus Onyemauche, professionally known as Kusiid, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and record executive.
Kusiid is the founder and CEO of Cheloh (Also known as Cheloh Worldwide, Cheloh Records or Cheloh Gang) an independent record label which he founded in 2021
He is known for blending R&B, hip-hop, and Afrobeat, and is considered a pioneer in Emotional Drill, R&B Drill and Melodic Drill music in Nigeria.
Career Overview
Kusiid started his music career in 2007 as part of a group called "Bright Stars" with his two siblings, releasing two albums before the group ended in 2016. He launched his solo career in 2017 and gained popularity with his single "Charisma".
Musical Style
He is recognized for his unique fusion of genres, often incorporating drill music elements into R&B melodies. His work has been successful on streaming platforms, with "FTM" a song from his 2024 EP Cool Seed reaching high positions on R&B and Hip-Hop charts in the United States.
