Tomi Thomas

Bio

Tomi Thomas is a Nigerian singer-songwriter. His influences include Mariah Carey, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Eminem, and Akon. He was born in Lagos and raised between Kano, Lagos, Atlanta.

Tomi Thomas is based in Dubai, where he is receiving college education. His debut EP 'Patience' was released free in 2014, and promoted with videos for the songs, 'The Renaissance' and 'Ready or Not'. 'Patience' was described as "a creative expression of his thoughts taking a year and a half to create in the quest of his befitting sound and aesthetic."

He took part in the GidiJand project involving artists from the UK and Nigeria collaborating on an album-length project. His second effort 'Black Couch LP Vol 1' was released in 2016.
