Call for Applications: Pop-Kultur 2017

Pop-Kultur Festival, which aims to be a multidisciplinary space, is open to young musicians, composers, instrumentalists and DJs. The program includes workshops, concerts, lectures and professional networking.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Should be aged between 20 and 30 years old
• Should prepare a short presentation of 15 min
• Must be fluent in English (tests and interviews will be conducted by Goethe-Institut)
• Must have experience in a specific musical sector and present at least three projects

The participation fee, accommodation, airfare, visa fee and per diem will be covered by Goethe-Institut during the festival period from 16 to 26 August 2017. Applicants will be asked to cover all additional individual expenses incurred during the stay.

Pop-Kultur festival began at Berghain nightclub in 2015. Since then, the event has been held in some of the city's most important venues, offering a broad section of culture in the German capital. It utilise venues such as Heimathafen Neukölln, Huxleys Neue Welt, Passage Kino, Keller and Prachtwerk. It gained fame through fusing live performances such as DJ sets and a series of art installations.  

The deadline for applications is 21 May 2017 and applications can be made only via Pop-Kultur website.
