Call for applications: 2023 Chiayi International Three Minutes Video Competition
The Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Chiayi City Government in Taiwan is inviting creatives around the world to submit entries for its 2023 Chiayi International Three Minutes Video Competition.

This is an international extreme-short film competition in which artists from all creative forms can apply. The nominated films shall be displayed in Taiwan on screen and internationally online.
Awards and prizes
- Golden Award – $10 000
- Silver Award – $8 000
- Bronze Award: $7 000
- Best Creative Award: $4 000
- Best Editing Award: $4 000
- Best Art Design Award: $4 000
- Best Sound Effect Award: $4 000
- Best Cinematography Award: $4 000
- Best actor Award: $3 000
- Special Jury Award: $2 000
Eligibility
- Participants are not limited to age, nationality or gender.
- Individuals or groups are eligible.
- All themes are welcome, but those that exceed the bounds of decency are not allowed.
- Length of animation usage should be less than one minute.
- Interested creatives can register and submit through FilmFreeway before 16 August.
- The product completion time of the films must be from 1 August 2022 to 14 August 2023. If the production schedule is not in accordance with the timeline above, the participating film will be considered as ineligible. The participation should provide relevant evidence to the organiser.
Requirements
- Three promotional photos of the participant should be provided.
- Introduction of work: 250 words in Chinese or 100 words in English.
- Introduction of participant: 200 words in Chinese or 50 words in English.
- Videos should be from three to four minutes (including intro, the film itself and outro).
- The original video and Chinese/English SRT subtitle file is required.
- Format: MOV or MP4.
- Code: H.264.
- Image resolution: above 1920x1080.
