Bio

Youssoupha, born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a renowned French-Congolese rapper and one of the leading figures in French hip-hop. The son of Congolese music legend Tabu Ley Rochereau, Youssoupha moved to France at the age of 10, where he developed his distinctive lyrical and sociopolitical style.

Youssoupha’s music combines raw rap with Congolese influences and pop hooks, often exploring complex social and political themes. He is celebrated for blending contemporary hip-hop with orchestral and vocal samples, creating a sound that has influenced the French rap scene for over a decade.
