Bio

Young Zesh's real name is Mzwandile Comfort Ginindza he hails from Somnjalose in Eswatini, although from Eswatini, he’s spending time based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Though he claims roots going back to around 2011, his public emergence as a music artist became more pronounced around 2021.

Young Zesh blends Afro-pop, hip-hop and local Swati influences, creating a sound that draws from his culture while appealing broadly.

-Ungangikhaleli, a song about resilience in the face of adversity. Visually supported with a music video.

He also does collaborations with other artists (occasionally beyond Eswatini), expanding his style and audience.

In 2024, Young Zesh was nominated six times at the National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA), including for Outstanding Afro-Pop Artist and Outstanding Song (for KaKhoza).

He launched his own record label, Mabonwa Abulawe Records which underscores his ambition for creative independence.
In early 2025, he announced departure from his former label UpscaleLive Entertainment said to be mutual and part of his vision to control his own music path.

He’s been expanding his live-performance footprint: including a one-man show at Polar Park in 2025, and a scheduled international performance at Afropiano Spring Fest 2025 in Taiwan, showing his growing regional and even global ambitions.

Young Zesh has carved out a distinctive niche:
He brings together Swati language and identity with contemporary Afro-pop and hip-hop sensibilities, bridging cultural roots and modern music.

His decision to start his own label demonstrates a commitment to ownership, independence, and creative control, which can inspire other artists in Eswatini and the region.

With 2025 performances and releases, he seems intent on taking Eswatini music beyond national borders, possibly positioning himself as a pan-African rising star.
