Young Ethio Jazz Band

Young Ethio Jazz Band is a group of Ethiopian-American aspiring jazz musicians in elementary through high school. They were born in the U.S. and live in the Bay Area, California. They formed their band to learn to play Ethiopian music and understand their heritage and to help Ethiopian jazz music revive and survive in the world of music through coming generations. And, in the process, they devote time and energy to rehearse weekly and practice at home which helps avoid spending their time outside of school in unproductive or harmful activities.

They are setting a good example for their fellow Ethiopian-American children and children of different ethnicity and backgrounds. At the same time, the youth band will be able to master their musical abilities to aspire to become professional musicians.
